Kicking to the moon

Objective

Develop an efficient swing

Organisation

⌛Duration: 10min

👥Participants: pairs

⚙️️Equipment: bars that enable to hang and swing

Description

A practitioner hangs from a bar using an overhand grip and holds a ball or soft object between its feet. They swing from front to back, keeping their arms straight, and try to throw the ball to their partner by kicking their legs forward.

Switch roles before they get too tired and risk slipping.

Variations

➖ Start without a ball. Each participant gives some feedback to the other. ➕ The partner throws the ball in the legs of the one who's swinging, who tries to return the ball by kicking it.

Notes

Always make sure to secure the swings, because leaning forward causes a backward rotation, which can lead to serious injuries if the hands slip. Warn the participants that they must stop swinging when they feel their hands slip or the slightest fatigue.
